Don't you love when you read something and it makes you say "YES!!! Someone gets it!!!"?
The link above will take you to Patrick SunDog Sharp's DA Journal on inking techniques. Any of my friends here that want to really get into the mechanics of inking, are curious about inking or have found trouble with using the tool in general need to pay a visit and spend some time reading through Pat's discoveries and adventures in art and life.
His writing is thoughtful and provocative and may need to be read twice to take it all in but you will be rewarded with knowledge of the craft that is not really found in many books on the subject. Things like how much ink to put on a brush and how to shape it and techniques like when and where to use you arm wrist or hand.
Now just like with anything else you may or may not agree with what he says or your own practice may be different but I bet everyone can learn something from it.
Go ahead and follow him and read back on his other journals, but I will also post links when I feel it is needed.
