I think this is the approach I wanna take with Jackie for my samples.

Of course on the real deal his head wouldn't be quite as small and the hair would be better.

On Characters like this I think it's cool to go all black on his jacket and stuff. Not only because it saves time but because it implies something about the character. When I was young(like 15) and SDCC was just a regular con I learned alot from hanging out at the table with all the Gaijin guys. Stelfreeze and Hughes taught me about how the personality of you character can be shown graphically by how you depict their clothes or costumes despite of design. At the time was was kinda like "uh...okay" and had to go home and think about it. blah blah blah
