Eternity 4...Staff only!

Well if you were with us from the start of the Divinity series, then this was probably a big surprise to you too. David Camp almost seemed like he could have been a throw away character. I didn't see this coming at all. I don't think Abram or Myshka did either. But they were busy baby making and all that.

Trevor Hairsine's pencils were really top notch on this one for me, from the composition to the illustration itself. It had a bit of a manga feel so I felt like adding a touch of zip to it. The image didn't need help in the framing department so I was careful not to distract from that with the placement of the tones. Tones are Deleter tones that I got when I was in Japan.

I tend to get a little texture crazy on splash pages and I may have overdone it on this one. I'm not sure if I really dig the dry brush on the shadow of the doorway(top of page). I think it drops back too much next too the solid black of the interior.

I was pretty stoked with lightning eye. I used the ole' Pentel white out pen for that. 

90% Raphael brush with FW ink. The rest was 102 nib.

The Eternity tpb comes out this Wednesday 4-4-18 from Valiant comics.
